MudMasons is a not-for-profit community interest company dedicated to the practice of Animate Spacemaking. Animate Spacemaking is a practice of spatial production grounded in traditional ecological and animate knowledge.
Through three core pillars of practice: conscious inquiry, radical collaboration, and design + make, we provide immersive courses, hold residencies, open discussions, create research, create spaces, create facilities and create design learning opportunities which aim to advance and further define the practice. Crucially, we practice new ‘ways of being’ alongside new ‘ways of doing’.
The company's directors, Felix Sagar, Millicent Green and Negar Taatizadeh, come from a background in architecture, and founded MudMasons in the hope of using their architectural knowledge to create positive change.
